The Lexington Model Airplane Club ( LMAC )

Established in 1959
has a premier airfield (650 ft asphalt runway) with 50 years of model aviation history in Lexington, KY. See airfield photo below.
Our goal is to promote model aviation as a sport and recreational activity as well as providing educational assistance to schools and do other community service activities.
501(c)3 non-profit Kentucky corporation.
hosts 4 flying events and a swap meet each year.
has approximately 130 members
fly RC airplanes, RC helicopters, RC multi-rotor and control line model aircraft.
Insured by the national organization, Academy of Model Aeronautics, Inc. (AMA). Model aircraft are operated in accordance with a community-based set of safety guidelines and within the programming of a nationwide community-based organization
Free RC flight training for club members.
Membership is open to anyone. Visitors invited to any of our activities !! All pilots must have AMA insurance card, club membership and knowledge of airfield rules to fly.
