Notice to Visitors:    Visiting RC fliers or General Public are always welcome to any of our club activities !!   To fly at our airfield, you must have current AMA Card for insurance purposes and be checked out on airfield rules.
       This is some important information that visitors need to be aware of.  The club airfield is on City of Lexington Landfill property.  There is an electric gate which is controlled by the City at the entrance to Hedger Lane ( as you turn off of Rockwell Rd ).  This electric gate is one mile before reaching the LMAC airfield property. 
       This electric gate is locked on all Sundays and all Saturdays, except the first Saturday of the month.   Monday through Friday, the electric gate is generally open from 8 AM to 6 PM.  On the first Saturday of the month, the electric gate is open from 9 AM to 3 PM.   On the days and times when the electric gate is locked, the general public will not be able to reach the airfield without pre-arranging a meeting with a club member to come let you through the electric gate and host your visit to the Club airfield. 
       Also note that the farm gate to the Airfield property will be pad-locked when no members are present on the airfield property. 
       With that being said, all of our daily flying, meetings, activities and flying events are open to the public.  We encourage you to come see what our sport & hobby is all about.  Feel free to contact us.

--  50' X 650' Blacktop Runway,
--  60' X 650' Grass Runway,
--  60' X 350' Grass Cross Runway
--  160' Control Line circles (one is blacktop). 
--  30’ X 40’ shelter structure with tables and 120vac outlets
--  4 covered pit areas with tables and 120vac outlets
--  Portable restroom facilities
--  RV electrical hookups - 220vac & 120vac

--  From Lexington, take 1-64 east to Exit 87 (ie, first exit east of I-75 and I-64 split).
-- At the top of the Exit 87 ramp,  turn North, to the access road just North of the Exit (ie, just North of I-64 )
-- Turn right (East) onto Rockwell Road and proceed about a mile.  --  Turn left on to Hedger Lane ( ie, the Landfill entrance).  There is a electric gate at the entrance of Hedger lane that will be closed when the landfill is closed.  LMAC members will have a 4 digit code that will open the electric gate, if it is closed. 
-- Proceed down Hedger Lane for approximately 1 mile and you will see a gated road on the right with LMAC sign.   Enter that gate and proceed to the flying site.  Airfield gate must be locked when last person leaves the airfield.
